Inauguration of the L70 Helium liquefier at the Institut de Physique Nucléaire in Orsay.

The IPN (Institut de Physique Nucléaire) founded in 1956 provides facilities for researchers who explore the basic of matter. 83 engineers and 192 technicians create and operate the necessary infrastructure for these experiments. Today, Liquid Helium (LHe) is indispensable for actual and future technological development of high density particles accelerator.

In July 2007 Linde Kryotechnik AG, has been awarded contract for the design, delivery, on site installation works and commissioning of a complete liquefaction facility, including feed Helium cryogenic purifying, L70 He liquefier, storage of LHe as well as filling of mobile dewars.
